A series of large-scale photographs completed at the Fanoon Center for Print Media Research at VCUQatar. It began with scans of existing “wet umbrella bags” which were used to create prints of bags on clear polyethylene bag material, which was left uncut and intentionally misaligned in the printing process. This (fake) industrial waste was then floated in the Persian Gulf for the photographs. The final photos were further manipulated to double the bag images in each print.
